“Why don’t you understand? I just don’t feel the same! I don’t love
you!” Yunho almost screamed the last part.
Jaejoong could feel the tears in his eyes.
“I’m… I’m sorry!” He felt those tears running down his cheeks. “Just
pretend I never told you how I feel. Pretend I never said it…”
“How?”
Silence. Neither Jaejoong nor Yunho moved or said a word.
“Cut!”
Yunho smiled while Jaejoong brushed the tears from his eyes and tried to smile
as well.
“Good work! We are done for today!”
Yunho smiled again and walked over to the other three members of Dong Bang Shin
Ki. Jaejoong stayed behind and watched Yunho.
‘Would you react the same if I tell you that I fell in love with you?’
Jaejoong let out a sigh and followed Yunho.


Later that day, while the others were watching TV, Jaejoong sat on his bed
thinking. He didn’t want to be near Yunho at the moment. The rejection
earlier, although it wasn’t real, had felt so real that his heart was broken.
Tears were streaming down his face and though he fought against them he
couldn’t stop them.
“I can’t tell him! If he really rejects me, the band will break apart. And I
can’t live without him!”
He closed his eyes and stopped fighting against his tears. He was so lost in his
thoughts that he didn’t hear the door opening. Yunho entered the room and
walked over to Jaejoong.
“Boo? Why are you crying?”
His eyes shot open in surprise. For a moment all he could do was look at the
other man, standing there beside his bed. Then he shook his head to show Yunho
that it was nothing. Yunho looked at him in disbelief. He moved to sit next to
Jaejoong pulling him in a tight embrace so that Jaejoong’s head rested on his
shoulder.
“No one cries because of nothing! Come on, we’re best friends! You can tell
me!”
‘That’s the problem! We’re best friends but I want more!’ Jaejoong
thought but stayed silent, tears still flowing down his cheeks.
“It seems you don’t want to talk to me!” Yunho stated a little angry.
He started to get up but Jaejoong quickly put his arms around Yunho’s waist
holding him back.
“I… I…” There was a moment silence again. “Please stay! Even if we
don’t talk, please stay!”
Yunho looked at Jaejoong for a moment before he put his arms around Jaejoong
again. They stayed like that for some time.
“I fell in love with someone but this person doesn’t love me back!”
Yunho looked down at him again and hugged him a little tighter. He tried to
comfort Jaejoong as best as he could.
“There’s a girl in this world that would reject you?” He was trying to
cheer his friend up.
Jaejoong didn’t look at Yunho.
“Yunho…?” he replied, his voice so quiet Yunho almost couldn’t hear
him.
“What?” he asked gently.
“There… there’s something else.” Jaejoong’s tears started to flow
again.
Yunho looked down at him in confusion. He wanted to say something but Jaejoong
continued.
“I… I didn’t fall in love with… with a girl… I fell in love with… a
guy!”
Yunho looked shocked for a moment.
“I don’t think it matters! A broken heart is still a broken heart.” Yunho
replied. “And the fact that you fell in love with a guy doesn’t change who
you are, does it?”
Jaejoong shook his head.
“No, I think I’m still the same. Thanks Yunho!”
“For what?”
“For not hating me, because I love a guy!”
“That’s not a reason to hate someone!”
Jaejoong smiled.
“By the way, I think this person has to be stupid to reject you after you
confessed to him!”
“I didn’t confess, Yunho!”
“How do you know than, that he doesn’t love you?”
The sad look came back to Jaejoong’s eyes.
“I know that he is straight!”
“Until today I thought the same about you!”
Yunho looked at him, than smiled.
“Will you tell him?”
“I don’t know…”
“You should tell him! I’m sure he’ll understand it.”
“And what if he rejects me?”
“Than you can come to me and I will hold you until you can’t cry
anymore!”
“Promise?”
“Promise!!!”
Yunho walked to the door to watch TV with the others when Jaejoong called him
back. He knew it was now or never.
“Yunho… the one I fell in love with is… you. I love you Yunho!”
