The battle was over and Jasper's smile turned back to his usual frown.
»Well I guess we'll have no choice but to give you the badge« Lars turned to his brother.
Ruben had his hand in his pocket and pulled out one half of a badge. Now Lars also pulled out another half of a badge out of his pocket.
»Usually this would be one badge, but since this was one battle with two challengers both of you get a half« Ruben said.
the twins gave both badge halves to Jasper and Lapis.
Lapis put her half on her wristband and Jasper put his half on his backpack.
Without any other words he left the gym.
»Hey, wait!« Lapis yelld, then she turned back to Lars and Ruben, »Thank you! Good bye!« And ran after Jasper.
»Wait up Jasper!« Lapis ran behind him.
He stopped. He had his hand in his pocket holding a pokéball.
He slowly turned around and looked now directly in Lapis' eyes.
»It's about...« She started, his look sharpend. »-About earlier again, thanks! I feel like I understand my pokémon way better now.«
The sharp look on Jasper's face vanished instantly, and now looked at her with a blank and confused face.
She smiled and said »Oh and I assume you're also going to challenge other gyms, so good luck!«
She turned around and added »I hope we meet again soon.« Then she headed back to the pokémon centre.
Jasper stood still for a few more seconds.
Then he let go off the pokéball in his pocket and turned back, with a slight smile on his face as he left the city.
